ELogbook

ELogbook is an NZTA-approved electronic driver logbook developed and operated by Picobyte Solutions Limited. The platform replaces traditional paper logbooks for heavy vehicle drivers and Small Passenger Service Licence (SPSL) holders, including ride-share drivers such as those working for Uber. Drivers log their work and rest hours by tapping on a smartphone or tablet app, with automatic hour totals, real-time GPS tracking, and proactive breach notifications ensuring compliance with New Zealand's work time and fatigue management regulations. For fleet managers and health and safety officers, ELogbook provides a central web portal for monitoring driver hours, fatigue risk, and compliance status across entire fleets. The system features secure, authenticated logins with data stored in the cloud and protected by driver privacy safeguards. With drivers facing $2,000 penalties and potential disqualification, and operators risking fines up to $25,000 for logbook non-compliance, ELogbook positions itself as an essential compliance tool. The platform is one of the electronic logbooks approved by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and is a brand and intellectual property of Picobyte Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of Xlerate Technologies Limited.

While ELogbook is primarily a work time compliance tool rather than a direct RUC product, it is part of the Picobyte Solutions ecosystem alongside the RUC Monkey and myRUC electronic RUC platforms. ELogbook's GPS tracking and fleet management capabilities complement Picobyte's eRUC solutions, and the products are often bundled for fleet operators who need both logbook compliance and electronic road user charges management.
